Ram Gopal Varma has decided to make another Sanjay Dutt biopic and title it Sanju: The Real Story. Rajkumar Hirani’s Sanju is minting money at the box office crossing over Rs. 300 crores. However RGV was not satisfied by the film.
A source close to RGV said, “Varma’s film will focus only on his possession of the AK-56 rifle by the 59 year old actor.” RGV confirmed the news and said, “Yes, I’m making the film.”
RGV was disappointed the way the movie showed Dutt’s struggle with drugs and his brush with the law.
The source further revealed, “That Dutt was doing drugs, was traumatised by his mother’s battle with cancer [she died just three days before the release of his first film Rocky] had multiple flings, many of them one night stands, is all well documented.” But the people should know the background information on the controversy that haunted Sanjay for two decades.
RGV’s biopic will concentrate on who who threatened Dutt’s family and how he acquired the AK 47 which got him into trouble. RGV has begun research for the film and will meet Dutt’s associates and the police involved in the actor’s arrest.
