Shakti Kapoor’s son Siddhanth Kapoor has been released on station bail, confirmed the Bengaluru Police, on the 14th of June, Tuesday.

Arrested for drug consumption, Mr. Siddhanth Kapoor was released on station bail a day later, on the 14th of June.  Mr. Bheema Shankar Gulled, the Director Commissioner of Police (DCP) of East Bengaluru said, Mr. Siddhanth Kapoor and four others were arrested from a hotel in MG Road, Bengaluru.  The arrested were alleged to ingested narcotics at a party on the 12th of June. 

The four other persons arrested along with Mr. Siddhanth Kapoor were Mr. Akhil Soni, business manager of Mind Fire Solutions, Mr. Harjoth Singh, an industrialist, and Mr. Hani, a digital marketing entrepreneur, and Mr. Akhil, a photographer.

The raid at the hotel for narcotics was based on a tip, following which the police conducted narcotics tests on 35 people.  Of all, six samples, including Mr. Siddhanth Kapoor’s, were found positive for drug consumption. 

According to reports, during the raids on Sunday night, the 12th of June, the Bengaluru police seized 7 grams of MDMA crystals and 10 grams of marijuana at the rave party organized at the five-star hotel.

Besides arrests, the Bengaluru Police issued a notice to the hotel where the alleged drug party was being held.  

The police have registered a case under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and an investigation are underway.

Meanwhile, the police directed the released accused in the drug case to appear before the court when called and to cooperate with the investigation.
