Sushant Singh Rajput Death Case Gets CBI Approval

The Central Government, on the 5th of August, accepted the appeal of the Bihar Government for an Central Bureau Investigation (CBI) in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case.

On the 14th of June, Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput allegedly committed suicide at his Bandra residence, Mumbai.

Since the news broke out, Mumbai police were investigating the case.

However, recently, the Bihar Government appealed to the Central Government for a CBI inquiry, claiming it to be a murder case.

The Government of India, informed the Supreme Court regarding the CBI inquiry approval.

The decision was taken after the Nitish Kumar asked for a CBI probe, after taking consent of Sushant’s father, K.K. Singh.

Solicitor General Tushar Mehta on the 5th of August informed the Supreme Court regarding the CBI on behalf of the Central Government.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court is also hearing a case filed against Rhea Chakraborty, alleged girlfriend of late Sushant Singh Rajput.

K.K. Singh recently lodged a First Information Report (FIR) against Rhea Chakraborty for money laundering and harassing Sushant.

Mr. Singh also alleged the Maharashtra Police of ruining all the evidence related to the case.

The lawyer representing Mr. Singh said, “Maharashtra Police is destroying evidence in the case.”

The CBI would take over the Sushant Singh Rajput death case and start the investigation soon.
