Ms. Jamuna, a Veteran Telugu actress passed away on the morning of the 27th of January, Friday.
According to sources, Ms. Jamuna died at the age of 87, due to age related ailments, at her residence in Hyderabad, Telangana.
Born to Kausalya Devi and Srinivas Rao, the veteran Telugu actress Ms. Jamuna started her entertainment career with Telugu film Puttillu in 1953. Some of the iconic films of Ms. Jamuna are Missamma, Appu Chesi Pappu Koodu, Bhagyarekha, Donga Ramudu, Pooja Phalam, Gundamma Katha, Mooga Manasulu and Letha Manasulu. She acted with other legendary actors of the era such as NT Rama Rao, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Savitri and SV Ranga Rao, among others.
Speaking of Ms. Jamuna’s personal life, she was married to Juluri Ramana Rao in 1965, and is survived by her son Vamsee Juluri and daughter Sravanthi Juluri, who is an artist.
Upon hearing the demise of the legendary Telugu actress, celebrities of the Tollywood film industry, and politicians from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, expressed their condolences.
