On the 19th of June, Amazon India launched its largest delivery station in Ranga Reddy district in Hyderabad, Telangana.
With the launch of a new delivery station, Amazon is looking towards improving its service of deliveries in Ranga Reddy district.
Prakash Rochlani, the Director of the last mile transportation of Amazon India, said, “The launch of the largest delivery centre in Telangana which spreads over 20,000 square feet will serve thousands of customers. Over the last two to three months, we are expanding our network in Telangana.”
This year, with the launch of this new delivery station, Amazon will have its 90th delivery station in Telangana. Out of the 90 stations, more than 12 are situated in Hyderabad and the rest, across the State.
Mr. Rochlani said, “We were earlier offering one-day and two-day deliveries only in certain places, but now a significant number of customers will be able to enjoy the same facility.”
The launch of the new last mile delivery station will also create several job opportunities for the people of Telangana. It will also strengthen the infrastructure and technology of the State.
As of now, Amazon has three fulfillment centres in Hyderabad with 3.2 million cubic feet storage space and two sorting centres with 1,00,000 square feet of processing capacity.
Telangana is one of the major states of investment of Amazon India.
