On the 6th of July, the West Bengal Police arrested 13 workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) for allegedly engaging in a fight with government officials in West Bengal.

On the 5th of July, a few workers of the BJP and the workers of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) got into a fight at Asansol Municipal Corporation in Asansol, West Bengal. To resolve the matter, the West Bengal Police issued a lathi charge, following which, some of the BJP workers attacked the Police officials.

The Police arrested the workers and claimed, the workers came to attack the officials at the Municipal Corporation regarding the ‘cut money’ issue.

However, due to the TMC workers and police officials, they did not succeed.

J. Tiwari, the Mayor of Asansol and a leader of the TMC, said, “They had come with the intention to attack but could not even manage to touch the gate of the corporation.”

Tiwari, further mocking Babul Supriyo, the Member of Parliament (MP) of Asansol and a member of the BJP, said, the TMC is capable of keeping monkeys like Supriyo in a cage.

J. Tiwari said, “Babul Supriyo, if you are BJP’s monkey then we have a cage ready for you in Asansol, we have the capability to keep monkeys like you caged.”

The BJP leaders and members did not react to the matter yet.

Stay tuned for further updates.
