PM Modi Greets Women On International Women’s Day, Twitter Flooded With Posts

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the 8th of March, greeted women on the occasion of International Women’s Day. 

Women’s Day is celebrated worldwide on the 8th of March, to honour women, promote peace with women’s rights and celebrate their achievements irrespective of cultural, economical, national and international divisions.

Mr. Modi shared a tweet from his official Twitter handle which read, ”

Saluting our indomitable #NariShakti on International Women’s Day! India takes pride in the many accomplishments of the women of our nation. It is our Government’s honour to be getting the opportunity to work towards furthering women empowerment across a wide range of sectors.”

Mr. Modi also expressed pride in the many accomplishments of women in India. He said it was his government’s honour to work towards furthering women empowerment in India in all the sectors.

Besides PM Modi, President of India Ram Nath Kovind also wished women of the Nation and across the globe.

Mr. Kovind in his tweet said, “On the occasion of International Women’s Day, greetings and best wishes to all fellow citizens. Women in our country are setting new records and achievements in various fields. Let us collectively resolve to promote gender justice and eliminate inequality between women and men.”

In addition, Tejaswi Yadav, K.C Venugopal, Piyush Goyal, Komatireddy Venkat Reddy, Bhupender Yadav, Devendra Fadnavis, Priti Gandhi, Hardeep Singh Puri and others wished women on International Women’s Day.

The official handles of parties like the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Indian National Congress (INC) also wished on the occasion.

Celebrities like Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Anupam Kher, Kangana Ranaut, Varun Tej Konidela, Mahesh Babu and others extended Women’s Day wishes.
