On the 2nd of July, India won the One Day International (ODI) match against Bangladesh in the International Cricket Council (ICC) World Cup at the Edgbaston stadium in England.

The ICC World Cup 2019, which started on the 30th of May and will continue till the 14th of July, is being hosted by England.

After being defeated by Team England on the 30th June, Team India, with its outstanding performance, scored 314 runs with a loss of 9 wickets after 50 overs and won the ODI match against Bangladesh.

Bangladesh, on the other hand, managed to score 286 runs and had a loss of 10 wickets after 48 overs.

In this series of the ICC World Cup, this is the 6th victory of Team India.

India played a total of 7 matches so far and won 6 of them, against South Africa, Australia, Pakistan, Afghanistan, West Indies and Bangladesh on the 5th, the 9th, the 16th, the 22nd, the 27th of June and the 2nd of July respectively. India lost only one match against England, on the 30th of June.

India is also the 2nd best ODI teams of the ICC series, after Team Australia, with 13 points.

In the 40th ODI match, India won the toss and chose to bat first and scored 180 runs in just 29.2 overs, with the partnership of K.L. Rahul and Rohit Sharma.

Rohit Sharma, a player of the Indian Cricket Team, was declared the Man of the Match as he scored 104 runs off 92 balls.

With this amazing performance in the ICC Series, Team India secured the 2nd position in the semifinals. Now, the two teams which are finalised to go into the semifinals are Australia and India, whereas there is a fight between Pakistan, England and New Zealand.

After defeating Bangladesh, Team India is scheduled to play an ODI match against Sri Lanka, on the 6th of July.
