Mr. Gnanendra Prasad, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader was found dead at his residence, confirmed Hyderabad Police on the 8th of August, Monday.
According to sources, Mr. Gnanendra Prasad was found hanging from a fan when police officials reached at his residence in Miyapur, Hyderabad. The incident came to light when the Miyapur police during the morning hour received a piece of information stating that a person died by suicide within Miyapur police station limits.
The Miyapur Police said, “Immediately one team was dispatched to the spot and police found one person hanged himself to the ceiling fan in his residence. The reason for his suicide is not known yet, but he was staying in his penthouse for the past few days.”
As of now, the dead body of the BJP leader has been shifted to a local government hospital for postmortem examination (PME.)
Furthermore, a case under section 174 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC) has been registered.
