BJP Vs Congress: Madhya Pradesh Bypoll Results Today

The Madhya Pradesh (MP) Bypoll results for two assembly seats will be announced soon. The counting of the votes began earlier today. The battle is primarily between Jyotiraditya Scindia from the Congress and Chief Minister of MP Shivraj Singh Chouhan from the BJP.

Initial reports of the vote counting show Congress leading for both the Mungaoli and Kolaras seats. The two seats up for grabs are under Mr. Scindia’s Parliamentary Constituency Guna. During a campaign, Mr. Scindia stressed this election was not between two parties but him and Shivraj Singh Chouhan.

Last year, the BJP lost these two seats to the Congress and hope to retrieve the loss. Scindia addressed 75 rallies and 15 road shows where he stated Congress would win without a doubt.

Mungaoli saw a voter turnout of 77% while Kolaras saw 70% of voters. The votes are being counted at the Government Nehru Degree College in Mungaoli and Government ITI College in Kolaras.
