A four year old child from Krishnaveni Talent School in Hyderabad, was beaten up by his teacher for failing to pay the school fees. This incident occurred on Monday in Meerpet when the innocent nursery toddler was at school.
The teacher brutally canned the minor who was left with visible bruises on his back and legs. Child Rights Activist Achyuta Rao said, “The victim is a student of Krishnaveni Talent School in BN Reddy Nagar of Meerpet. On Monday, he was thrashed by school teacher Swaroopa for not paying the fees. His father is a plumber.”
Mr. Rao also helped the boys family lodge a police complaint against the teacher and the school. The Meerpet Police registered a case under Sections 324 (Voluntarily Causing Hurt ) and 506 (Punishment for Criminal Intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code. The teacher was also booked under Section 75 (Punishment for Cruelty to Child) of the Juvenile Justice Act.
This sparked outrage in Meerpet with parents and locals protesting outside the school demanding action against the school authorities. The police are investigating the case to see if there is more to this story. More details are awaited….
