The results of the Bihar Assembly elections are set to be released today.
In 2020 amid the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 Bihar conducted its Assembly elections for 243 Assembly seats.
The elections were held in three phases, the 28th of October, the 3rd of November and the 7th of November.
The close fight was between the incumbent Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar, who is heading the alliance of the Janata Dal (United) JD(U) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) against the Mahagathbandhan of the Tejashwi Yadav led Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Indian National Congress (INC.)
As per the trends and the exit polls, there is neck to neck competition between both the alliances.
As of 11:00 A.M., the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is leading in 12leading2 seats and the Mahagathbandhan is leading in 106 seats.
In addition, Tejashwi Yadav is leading in Raghupor Assembly seat with a margin of 455 votes.
However, final results are yet to be announced as several rounds of counting are pending.
The counting of votes are underway.
