Donald Trump, the President of the United States of America, said he hopes Indian Americans would vote for him in the upcoming elections. 

During a press conference on the 4th of September, Mr. Trump called Prime Minister Narendra Modi a great friend and said, “We have great support from India. We have great support from Prime Minister Modi. I would think that the Indian (American) people would be voting for Trump.”

The press conference was conducted after a video was released by by the Trump campaign, for the upcoming presidential elections in the U.S.A.

The video was titled as ‘Four More Years.’

Donald Trump was elected as the President of the United States of America in 2016 after Barack Obama.

Donald Trump further highlighted his friendship with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He said, “Prime Minister Modi is a friend of mine and he’s doing a very good job. Nothing easy, but he’s done a very good job.”

Remembering his Howdy Modi event held in Houston, Donald Trump spoke about the generosity of PM Modi for supporting him and inviting him to the event.

Mr. Trump said, “We had an event in Houston, as you know. And it was a fantastic event. I was invited by Prime Minister Modi and this was a massive (event)… And it was incredible. And the prime minister could not have been more generous. We have great support from India. We have great support from Prime Minister Modi.”

In 2020 February, Donald Trump visited India on the invitation of PM Modi. He was welcomed in a grand manner and addressed the citizens of India.

According to a recent research Americans who traditionally vote for the Democrats switched to Republican Party due to the intensified relationship between PM Modi and Donald Trump.

The Trump campaign believes, Indian Americans could be an important part in this presidential election.

According to India 2.5 million Indian Americans are eligible to vote in the U.S.A.

The Presidential elections of the United States of America are scheduled to be held on the 3rd of November 2020.
