India COVID-19 Update: Single Day Cases Decline, Below 30,000 Cases Reported

India’s Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 single day cases are declining.

In the past 24 hours the Nation recorded 29,163 new Coronavirus infections and 449 deaths.

The new cases were confirmed by the Union Health Ministry and the official data is available on the official website of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW.)

According to the MoHFW website, India has 8,874,290 positive cases, of which 4,53,401 are active cases, 82,90,370 recovered/discharged cases and 1,30,519 are deceased.

In addition, the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) said in the past 24 hours 8,44,382 samples were tested for the Novel Coronavirus.

Till date, nearly 12,65,42,907 samples were tested for the Novel Coronavirus in India.

In India, Maharashtra continues to be the worst hit state for COVID-19 with 17,49,777 cases, followed by Karnataka with 8,62,804, Andhra Pradesh with 8,54,764, Tamil Nadu 7,59,916 and Kerala 5,27,709.

Meanwhile, till the 17th of November, the number of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases stood at 5,48,26,773.

While the United States of America (U.S.A.,) is the worst hit nation with 1,11,97,791 cases and 2,47,142 COVID-19 deaths, it is followed by India with 8,874,290 positive cases.

However, India is recovering from the virus with more than 90 %, at 93.43 % recovery rate. On the other hand, the fatality rate from the Novel Coronavirus in India is decreasing with 1.47 % till date.
