On the 3rd of October, India’s Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases crossed 64 positive cases and 1 lakh deaths.
The Union Health Ministry confirmed 79,476 nee COVID-19 cases and 1,069 deaths in the past 24 hours.
The updated figure is also available on the official website of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW.)
As per the MoHFW, India has 64,73,544 positive cases, of which 9,44,996 are active cases, 54,27,706 are recovered/discharged cases and 1,00,842 deceased.
However, the recovery rate of the Novel Coronavirus is at 83.84 %, the active cases is at 14.60 % and mortality rate is 1.56%
The global mortality rate for the Novel Coronavirus is at 2.98 %.
In the past two months, India’s COVID-19 tally increased rapidly. On the 7th of August ,India’s COVID-19 tally had crossed the 20 lakh mark, on the 23rd of August, 30 lakh, on the 5th of September, 40 lakhs, on the 16th of September, 50 lakhs and now on 28th of September the number of cases crossed 60 lakhs mark.
As of October, the nation is the second worst COVID-19 with 6.4 million cases. The first worst COVID-19 hit nation is the United States of America (U.S.A.) with over 7 million cases.
In addition, as per the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), a cumulative total of 7,78,50,403 samples have been tested till date including 11,32,675 which were tested in the past 24 hours.
