One person was killed and 15 were injured in a grenade attack on the 4th of November, at a market on Hari Singh High Street, Srinagar.

The deceased was identified as a vendor and was from Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh.  The injured were immediately rushed to a hospital and are undergoing treatment.

The incident took place around 1:20 P.M., at a vegetable market located at the centre of the City, near the Civil Secretariat.

In the last 20 days, this is the second grenade attack in Srinagar.  One such incident, which injured 20 people, took place at a bus stand in Sopore, North Kashmir.

Recently, on the 26th of October, terrorists also attacked a checkpost, where a team of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) was on inspection.  During the attack, 6 CRPF personnel were injured.

Militants are attacking the non locals residing in Jammu and Kashmir.  So far, 11 non locals, mostly workers, labourers and vendors, lost their lives in Jammu and Kashmir.

The attacks started after the Government of India scrapped Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.  

The security forces launched a search operation and cordoned off the area where the grenade attack took place.

The search operation is underway.
