Sanjay Raut, a member of the Shiv Sena, on the 20th of November, addressed the media and assured the Government of Maharashtra would be formed by the end of November.
Mr. Raut said, “The process to form the Government will complete in (the) next 5 to 6 days and a popular and strong government will be formed in Maharashtra before December. The process is going on.”
He further added, “All the obstructions which were there in (the) last 10 to 15 days regarding the government formation in Maharashtra are not there anymore. You will get to know by 12:00 P.M., tomorrow (the 21st of November) that all the obstructions are gone. The picture will be clear by tomorrow afternoon.”
After breaking its alliance with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) the Shiv Sena has been holding talks with the opposition, the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP)-the Indian National Congress (INC) alliance.
The senior leaders of the INC and the NCP are expected to meet at 5:00 P.M., on the 20th of November and discuss the alliance with the Shiv Sena.
On the other hand, Abdul Sattar, a member of the Shiv Sena, called all the Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs) of the Party for a meeting on the 22nd of November.
Mr. Sattar said, “All MLAs have been called for a meeting on 22 Novemebr. We’ve been asked to bring our ID cards and clothes for 5 days. I think we’ll have to stay at a place for 2-3 days, then the next step will be decided. Uddhav Thackeray ji will be Maharashtra CM for sure.”
As of now, Maharashtra is under President’s rule as no political party was able to form the State Government.
