Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on the 21st of March, expressed condolences over the Chinese plane crash.

Taking to Twitter, Mr. Narendra Modi said, “Deeply shocked and saddened to learn about the crash of the passenger flight MU5735 with 132 on board in China’s Guangxi. Our thoughts and prayers are with the victims of the crash and their family members.”

Notably, in breaking news, a China Eastern Boeing 737, carrying 123 passengers and 9 crew members, crashed in the southern province of Guangxi on the 21st of March, Monday.

According to the sources, the Civil Aviation Administration of China confirmed the crash, which occurred near the city of Wuzhou in Teng county.  They released a statement, according to which, the Chinese aircraft was traveling from Kunming in the western province of Yunnan to the industrial center of Guangzhou along the east coast.

As of now, no casualties and number of injuries have been reported.  According to flight tracking site FlightRadar24, “flight no. MU5735 swiftly lost speed at 0620 GMT before the crash.”  

The CAAC said that a team of officials had been sent to the spot, to control the situation.  Furthermore, the Guangxi fire service reported an explosion at a nearby forest, due to the crash.  The Guangxi fire service said work was underway to control a mountainside blaze ignited by the crash.

Meanwhile, Chinese  President Xi Jinping also expressed shock over the incident and demanded probe in the matter.
