Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address the nation for a second time over the Novel Coronavirus.

Mr. Modi would address the nation through the television medium at 8:00 P.M.,

Mr. Modi took to his Twitter and shared a post, “I will address the nation at 8 pm today on vital aspects relating to the scourge of the pandemic COVID-19.”

“वैश्विक महामारी कोरोना वायरस के बढ़ते प्रकोप के संबंध में कुछ महत्वपूर्ण बातें देशवासियों के साथ साझा करुंगा। आज, 24 मार्च रात 8 बजे देश को संबोधित करुंगा।”
Till date, 500 plus people are infected causing 9 casualties due to the Novel Coronavirus.

While all public places are shut, only medical emergencies and daily essential markets would be open.

States issued an ordered lockdown till the 31st of March and Himachal Pradesh and Punjab imposed curfews.

According to the World Health Organisation (WHO,) India has a capacity to eradicate the virus, if it increases its health care system and functions accordingly.

In a statement, Michael Ryan, the Executive Director of the WHO said, “India, which led the world in eradicating two silent killers — smallpox and polio — has a tremendous capacity in eradicating the deadly coronavirus pandemic that has now claimed nearly 15,000 lives and infected over three lakh others globally.”

Though the healthcare system of India is not competitive compared to other countries, the measures taken by the Indian Government is helping to control the spread.

If Indian citizens perform their responsibility and stay indoors quarantining themselves, the chances of spreading of the Coronavirus could be controlled.
All the countries are eying the Indian Government and the steps that would be taken by Prime Minister Modi.

Globally, the Novel Coronavirus infected 3 lakh people and reported more than 18,000 deaths due to COVID-19.
