On the 76th Quit India Movement anniversary, Prime Minister Narendra Modi took to Twitter to remember Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the nation. Mr. Modi also shared a video commemorating all the men and women who stood by Mahatma Gandhi during this freedom struggle.

PM Modi tweeted a picture of an official Quit India Movement report with the caption, “Mahatma Gandhi‘s clarion call galvanized the nation. Here is another official report indicating the spread of the Quit India movement and the wide scale participation.”

The Prime Minister also shared a beautiful poem on the movement by former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee. The poem was published in the year 1946 in Abhyudaya a newspaper associated with Madan Mohan Malaviya.
