Ugadi Celebrations: KCR Says Telangana Will Play A Crucial Role

During Ugadi celebrations at Pragati Bhavan Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao said Telangana would play a crucial role in the nation building. He was quoted saying, “The Gods are favoring Telangana State which has become a ‘Devabhoomi’ for people from all religions.”

The Chief Minister addressed a huge group of ministers, legislators, priests, poets, bureaucrats and artists at Pragati Bhavan. CM KCR talked about the State’s progress, “Our contention of rapid development of Telangana as a separate State has been proved right. Besides being a revenue surplus State, we are developing by leaps and bounds. I am happy to learn that predictions for the year ahead are in complete favor of the State.”

This comes after KCR called for a Third Front to oppose the Congress and BJP in the 2019 elections. KCR received support from All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President Asaduddin Owaisi, Jana Sena Chief Pawan Kalyan, former Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and West Bengal CM Banerjee.

KCR plans to tour the country just like PM Modi did before the 2014 elections. He announced his plans to his party members but also mentioned he would not ignore his duty towards Telangana.

The CM also plans to conduct meetings to prepare a national agenda. KCR is busy plotting a program for meetings with associations and retired bureaucrats. The first meeting will be held with retired All India Service Officers.

The Third Front would be a third option for voters instead of choosing between the Left and the Right. KCR held a press conference at Pragati Bhavan where he said the Country was fed up with the present political system. He further added he would play an active part to make this change.

The Telangana CM explained the BJP and Congress were in power for almost 70 years collectively. But there has been no qualitative changes to India.
