Rajnath Singh, the Union Defence Minister of India, would address the top brass at the ongoing army commanders’ conference.
Mr. Singh would speak about several topics related to security of the nation including ongoing India-China stand off.
In addition, modernisation of armed forces, self reliance in defense department and other issues would also be a part of the conference.
The Commanders’ Conference started on the 26th of October and would continue till the 29th of October.
The four day conference is chaired by Manoj Mukund Naravane, the Army Chief General.
Speaking about the first day of the conference, an army official said, “The first day of the conference was spent deliberating on matters related to human resource management…And today’s [Wednesday’s] schedule includes in-depth discussions on the various agenda points projected by the various army commanders, including an update by CINCAN (Commander-in-Chief of Andaman and Nicobar Command.)”
On the third day of the conference, a detailed discussion on the various agenda points projected by the various Army Commanders would be held..
This will be followed by brief updates on various issues by the various Principal Staff Officers.
The last day of the conference would include an update by the Director-General of Border Roads (DGBR) on the various infrastructure development projects being undertaken by Border Roads Organisation (BRO) and allied formations.
Automation initiatives to optimise utilisation of manpower at various levels of the Army would also be a part of the conference.
According to sources, the conference would conclude with the presentation of the Sports Trophy and Flight Safety Trophy.
The four days conference is being held in Delhi. Top army officials, army commanders, PSOs and other senior level officers.
