Veteran screenwriter and actor Mr. Shiv Kumar Subramaniam, popularly known for penning films like “Parinda”, “1942: A Love Story” and “Chameli” have passed away, on the 11th of April.
However, the cause of Mr. Shiv Kumar Subramaniam’s death has not been disclosed to the media yet. Furthermore, Filmmaker Mr. Hansal Mehta took to Twitter and confirmed the demise of the screenwriter and actor. He said that it was “terrible news to wake up to”. He further shared an Instagram post, which read, “With profound and heartfelt grief, we wish to inform you of the passing of one of the most dignified and noble souls to inhabit human form – our dearest Shiv Subrahmanyam. Incredibly talented, he was much loved and revered personally as well as professionally. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife Diyya, her mum, dad, Rohan, Rinki, and family; Bhanu chitti and all of Shiv’s family; and his huge legion of friends and fans.”
Mr. Subramaniam started his career as a writer and explored the Indian cinema industry. He was also famous for his role in “2 States” starring actress Alia Bhatt and actor Arjun Kapoor. He was also featured in the recently released Netflix film “Meenakshi Sundareshwar”.
Meanwhile, the last rites of the veteran Mr. Shiv Kumar Subramaniam were held at 11:00 A.M.
