At the Asian Games 2018, Jinson Johnson made India proud by winning a gold medal. He won the men’s 1500 meters with the timing of 3:44.72.
Hima Das, the best runner gave the lead in the 4×400 women’s Relay. The other runners, M. R. Poovamma, S. L. Gayakwad and V. Koroth maintained the same to win the gold medal at the games.
Apart from the gold medal, Indian athlete P. Chitra won the bronze in the 1500 meters women’s final. She took 4:12:56 to finish the race and was declared as the third best. Seema Punia is another athlete who secured a bronze medal in the discus throw event at the Asian Games.
The defeat of the Indian men’s Hockey team against Malaysia was a shocker. They never imagined losing this game and seeing Malaysia proceeding into the finals. But now the Indian Hockey team will fight for bronze on the 1st of September.
