The Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) will soon decide the support staff of the Indian Cricket Team.
M.S.K.Prasad, the Chief Selector of Indian National Cricket Team is expected to announce the 5 men staff of the Indian Cricket Team by the 22nd of August.
The BCCI said, “The process starts today and will continue till Thursday. The announcements of candidates will be made on Thursday after the whole process is completed. No point going one name at a time.”
According to sources, the members of the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC,) whoselected the Head Coach of Indian Cricket team, wanted to be a part of this selection process but the BCCI refused, stating it is against the rules.
According to the new rule of the BCCI, the CAC will appoint the head coach, whereas, the national selectors will decide the support staff.
The final five names of the staff who will be working with Ravi Shastri will be revealed on the 22nd of August.
