Gautam Gambhir, the Indian National Cricket Team member and Kolkata Knight Riders captain has taken a vow to fund the educational expenses of the children of Sukma martyrs. On Monday, Naxals attacked the Sukma camp and killed 25 CRPF personnel, in what is being called the deadliest attack in two years.
Gambhir said that his foundation will take care of all the expenses. Speaking to a popular news daily, he said, “On Wednesday morning, I picked up newspapers and saw gut wrenching pictures of the daughters of two CRPF men killed in the latest attacks. One was saluting her martyred father while in the other picture, the howling young woman was being consoled by her relative.”
