BJP-TRS In Tough Fight Over Two Graduate MLCs Post In Telangana

In recent elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) had a tough fight.

With the upcoming Graduate Members of the Legislative Council (MLCs) elections, the battle continues.

As per sources, after Dubbaka By election and Municipal Corporation elections, it is now unpredictable which Party would bag two Teacher’s MLC Posts.

The elections for two MLCs seats would be held on the 14th of March.

Nomination filing started for the same and the TRS filed S. Vani Devi, the daughter of P.V. Narsimha Rao, the former Prime Minister of India.

The two Teacher’s MLC posts are important, as the winning graduate MLC would cover 75 assemblies of the 119 assemblies.

The candidates would be in fray for Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar and Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda constituencies.

In addition, the results of the MLC elections would also be vital deciding the stand of the TRS in the next few by elections and 2023 Assembly elections.

In the upcoming days, Telangana is scheduled to conduct Warangal and Khammam Municipal Corporations and bypolls to Nagarjuna Sagar Assembly constituency.

It is a fact to note that, the TRS did not win Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar seat.

While TRS filed S. Vani Devi, The BJP is aiming to retain the seat and has once again fielded N. Ramchander Rao, a senior party leader and an advocate.

The Indian National Congress (INC) too fielded a formidable candidate and senior leader Chinna Reddy.

Besides these three parties,  the Telugu Desam Party (TDP)  also fielded its candidate and the Telangana TDP President L. Ramana

As many as 179 candidates have filed nominations for Hyderabad-Rangareddy-Mahabubnagar seat and 78 candidates for Warangal-Khammam-Nalgonda constituency.

Candidates would be in fray for the two seats on the 14th of March.

Stay tuned for further updates.
