Communal Clash In Telangana’s Bhainsa Town Leads To Tension, Section 144 Imposed

On the night of the 7th of March, a communal clash broke out in the Bhainsa region of Telangana.

The incident took place at Zulfiqar Mosque in the town at around 8:45 P.M. According to the sources, two groups of miscreants indulged in violence following an argument over a bike.

Soon, stone pelting and fighting started. One of the groups even set the bike on fire, which led to more violence. Approximately three houses and at least four two wheelers were burnt by unidentified miscreants. Besides this, they also damaged paan shops and other small establishments.

To control the situation, the District’s In Charge and Superintendent of Police Vishnu S. Warrier, imposed Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure (CrPC.)

As per reports, during the incident, 5 media journalists and a sub inspector suffered injuries. They were immediately shifted to the hospital for treatment.

Meanwhile, the police deployed heavy forces in the local area to prevent unwanted situations. Police asked the people not to spread hatred on social media and imposed section 144 in the area. Security is being supervised by Bhainsa Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Narsing Rao.

This is not the first Bhainsa Town witnessed such communal violence. In 2020 also, two communal clashes occurred, one in January and another in May, took place in the town. In the two clashes, more than 30 people were injured and several houses and vehicles were set on fire
