After the Civil Aviation Ministry of India resumed domestic flights operations across India, the Telangana Government started domestic flights services from Hyderabad airport.

On the 25th of May, Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) of Hyderabad witnessed its first domestic flight landing after 2 months of suspension of airline services.

An Air Asia flight from Bengaluru airport landed with 104 passengers around 8:00 A.M and first take off was at 8:06 A.M., to Vizianagaram with 12 passengers.

The state would operate 30 flights per day, out of which 15 would be departures and 15 would be arrivals.

As per the guidelines of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government, the RGIA officials and airline companies took all the necessary precautions to curb the virus.  The officials would also screen passengers, ensuring they follow the rules set by the Civil Aviation Ministry.  

Social distancing and face masks with sanitizers and thermal screening has been made mandatory by the Telangana Government for passengers.

The Telangana Government did not issue any guidelines for quarantine for the flyers and said the passengers with no symptoms of COVID-19  could go home.  However, he/she needs to be careful and self quarantine for 14 days and in case the person develops any symptoms, could immediately contact 104 or 108 helpline numbers.
