GHMC Elections 2020: Former AIMIM Leader Mohammed Ghouse Re Joined Party

The former member of the All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) rejoined the Party today.

With just two days left for filing the nominations for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) elections, leaders are switching parties.

In one such development, Mohammed Ghouse, the member of the Indian National Congress (INC) quit the Party and rejoined the AIMIM.

On the 19th of November, Mr. Ghouse joined the AIMIM in the presence of Akbaruddin Owaisi, the General Secretary of the AIMIM.

Mr. Akbaruddin Owaisi accompanied him to party headquarters, Darussalam, in his bullet proof car.

Soon after he arrived at the party office Ghouse was immediately given the primary membership of the party.

Mohammed Ghouse was a member of the AIMIM but in 2016 he joined the INC.

This time, Mohammed Ghouse is likely to contest the GHMC elections from the Ghansi Bazar division of Old Hyderabad.

However, an official announcement regarding the same is yet to be made.

Meanwhile, the GHMC elections are scheduled to be held on the 1st of December and the results would be announced on the 4th of December.

The three major parties contesting the GHMC elections are: the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP,) the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) and the Indian National Congress (INC.)
