Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Telangana, started campaigning for the Party ahead of the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC.)
Mr. Sanjay Kumar challenged K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, to campaign in the Old City, Hyderabad.
Mr. Kumar asked KCR to prove that the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) has no tie with the All India Majlis e Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) for the GHMC elections and campaign in the Old City.
Sanjay Kumar also criticised the KCR Government for not coming to the rescue of COVID-19 and flood victims in Hyderabad.
Sanjay Kumar even alleged KCR of forging his signatures in the letter sent to the State Election Commission (SEC.)
Recently, the SEC directed the TRS Government to stop the distribution of flood relief money to flood victims in the wake of the Model Code of Conduct (MCC,) implemented for the GHMC elections.
KCR said Bandi Sanjay Kumar wrote to the SEC, seeking the halting of the distribution of the flood relief money.
In addition, the Union State Home Minister G. Kishan Reddy slammed the TRS Government for not constructing a single house for the poor.
The opposition parties like the TRS, the Indian National Congress (INC) and the BJP started campaigning for the upcoming GHMC elections.
The GHMC elections for 150 wards are scheduled to be held on the 1st of December and the results would be announced on the 4th of December.
