Amazon, an e commerce company, set up the its world’s second largest campus, spread over 10 acres, in Nanakramguda, Hyderabad.
Amazon’s first largest campus is in the United States of America (U.S.A.)
With the inauguration of the new campus, Amazon will now be able to increase its employees from 7,000 to 15,000.
K.T. Rama Rao, the former IT and Industry Minister of Telangana in 2016, laid the foundation of the campus, which was completed after 3 years.
On the 21st of August, Mohammad Mahmood Ali, the Deputy Chief Minister of Telangana and
Jayesh Ranjan, the Secretary of the Information Technology (IT) Department, inaugurated the campus.
K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, the Senior Vice President of Amazon India, the Country Manager of Amazon and John Schoettler, the Director of the U.S.A., based Global Real Estate and Facilities, attended the event.
