Hyderabad CP Anjani Kumar And Other Senior Officials Get Jab Of COVID-19 Vaccines In Telangana

After the Rachakonda Commissioner of Police (CP,) the Hyderabad CP, Anjani Kumar, took the Novel Coronavirus vaccination.

On the 6th of February, Mahesh Bhagwat, the Rachakonda CP took the first jab of the COVID-19 vaccination amongst the police personnel.

Besides Mahesh Bhagwat, the Director General of Police (DGP) of Telangana, M. Mahender Reddy was also one of a few senior officials of the Telangana Police to take the COVID-19 vaccination in the second phase.

Now, on the 8th of February, Mr. Kumar and senior police personnel of the Hyderabad Police took COVID-19 vaccination.

Anjani Kumar and other senior officers took the COVID-19 vaccination at the Police City Armed Reserve (CAR) headquarters at Petlaburj.

Gajarao Bhupal, the Deputy Commissioner of Police South Zone, Dr. Venkat, District Medical and Health Officer, Hyderabad, were among the many other officers who participated in the vaccination programme

This is the second phase of the nationwide COVID-19 vaccination drive, which started on the 16th of January.

In the first phase, health care workers (HCW) at private and government hospitals received doses of two India made COVID-19 vaccines.

The Telangana Government registered around 3.30 lakh health workers for the vaccine and 1.93 lakhs got the vaccine shot in the first phase.

The second phase of the drive which includes police personnel started from the 6th of February.

The second day of the vaccination, which is the 8th of February, witnessed 30% of police personnel having already taken their shots of the vaccine. On the first day, nearly 6,000 police personnel got the doses of COVID-19 vaccines.

Meanwhile, the Telangana Medical officials assured no complications or side effects of the vaccines.

The officials who have taken the vaccine also advised the general public that there should not be any kind of hesitation or fear in receiving the shot.

The second phase would continue till the 12th of February and the details of the beneficiaries would be updated on the CoWin Portal.

Besides police personnel, municipal, revenue and panchayat officials would also get two India made vaccinations.

In total, 93,000 police personnel have been registered to get COVID-19 doses. The 93,000 targeted personnel include 73,000 from different wings in the department and 16,800 home guards, among others.
