In a tragic incident, a delivery person was brutally attacked over delay in delivery. The incident occurred on the night of the 2nd of January, Monday, at a hotel in Masab Tank, Hyderabad.
Getting into the details, Ilyas, the delivery boy was attacked by 10 to 15 people, over a delay in food delivery.
Irked over the delay in food delivery, a customer had allegedly assaulted the employee of a food delivery app in front of the hotel staff. Although Ilyas tried to escape and ran into the hotel kitchen, the gang of people followed him and in the chaos, hot oil fell on Ilyas and two other hotel staff named Sonu and Sajjan. All three victims received serious burns and injuries due to the attack and are being treated at a hospital and are said to be in critical health condition.
Alerted over the incident, the Humayun Nagar police station registered a case against all the accused and started an investigation. On the 3rd of January, the police arrested five people in connection to the incident. In a media briefing, the Humayun Nagar Police said they have arrested five persons including the main accused and his three sons. Efforts were on to identify and arrest others involved in the attack.
