Hyderabad: INC President And Leaders Visit Low Lying Areas Affected Due To Heavy Rain

On the 15th of October, a few members of the Indian National Congress (INC) visited low lying areas submerged in Hyderabad. 

Along with the INC leaders, N. Uttam Kumar Reddy, the President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) also toured the areas drowned in water due to the heavy rain.

Since the 10th of October, Telangana witnessed record breaking rainfall, affecting lives and properties in the State.

In one day, the State recorded 324.50 mm. rain, which is equal to rain received in one month generally.

During the tour, the INC leaders spoke to people and listened to their problems, assuring that quick relief measures.

The INC leaders also distributed relief materials to the people in distress.

Later, Uttam Kumar Reddy appealed to all the INC leaders to participate actively in the relief measures and help people in need.

In addition, the Indian National Congress (INC) also criticised the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) for mishandling the current situation.

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) Telangana and Andhra Pradesh is likely to witness heavy rainfall for the next two days, till the 16th of October.

In regard to this, K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, deployed rescue forces and alerted concerned officials to carry out rescue measures.

The State Government also asked people not to venture out for the next three days.
