Ahead of the Munugodu by poll, Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, alerted cadres to be prepared for the elections, scheduled to be held soon.
Notably, on the 21st of September, Wednesday, KCR hinted that Munugode by election notification is likely to be announced in October end, whereas the elections are likely to be held in November. Mr. K. Chandrashekar Rao asked party people to strive hard as if the elections are today only.
Reviewing the bypoll with Nalgonda party leaders at Pragathi Bhavan in Hyderabad, KCR directed the party people to give wide door to door publicity for Dalit Bandhu in every village, to bring 1,000 girijanas of Munugodu per day to Hyderabad and show them Atma Gourava Bhavanalu. He also said to arrange Atmeeya Sammelanams and Vana Bhojanalu with the people of all sections in the constituency.
KCR said that one MLA was made in-charge for two villages and a public meeting will be held in Chanduru once the election notification is issued. He encouraged his partymen by saying that TRS is leading followed by Congress in all election surveys. BJP is left with third position only, he added.
It is to be noted, after the resignation of Mr. Komatireddy Raj Gopal Reddy (the former Indian National Congress leader) as the Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) of Munugode, the seat fell vacant, paving the way for a by election.
Political parties like the BJP, the TRS and the Indian National Congress Telangana unit are working hard to ensure a victory in the Munugode by election. Notably, the Election Commission of India is yet to announce the date of the Munugode Assembly by election.
