K.T. Rama Rao, the Municipal Administration and Urban Development and the Information Technology, Electronics and Communications Minister of Telangana, assured the State Government’s help to Prashanth, who is in jail in Pakistan.

On the 18th of November, the Pakistan Police arrested two Indians.  One of them was Prashanth, who is a native of Andhra Pradesh and used to work in Hyderabad.

KTR spoke to Prashanth’s father over the phone and said the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) would do everything possible to bring Prashanth back to Hyderabad safely.  Babu Rao, Prashanth’s father, was asked to submit all the details about his son. KTR further added the TRS Government would contact the Indian embassy and try to establish contact with Prashanth.

According to sources, Prashanth, who is an IT employee, went to Madhya Pradesh to meet a girl with whom he was in love.  Babu Rao said, “My son is innocent and soft hearted by nature. He does not have links with any anti social elements.”

On the 19th of November, Babu Rao, with his elder son, addressed the media and said Prashanth was an employee at a software company in Hyderabad.  There, Prashanth met a girl, who is said to be from Madhya Pradesh.

Later, in 2017, Prashanth went missing.  Prashanth was missing for 31 months. Prashanth’s family even filed a missing report with the Madhapur Police Station.

Babu Rao said he did not have any clue about his son’s whereabouts until the media reported Prashanth, from Madhya Pradesh, was caught entering Pakistan illegally.

Babu Rao requested the Central Government to take immediate steps for Prashanth’s release.

Prashant was caught in the Punjab province of Pakistan and is now in the custody of Pakistan Police.
