Bandi Sanjay, the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Telangana, on the 26th of May met Pawan Kalyan, the President of the JanaSena Party.
The meeting was held at Jubilee Hills camp office of the JanaSena Party in Hyderabad, Telangana.
According to sources, the one hour long meeting was said to be a courtesy call as both the leaders met for the first time after the Karimnagar MP took over Telangana BJP.
However, the meeting could be important for the recently formed alliance between the BJP and the JanaSena in Andhra Pradesh.
In Andhra Pradesh, the BJP and the JanaSena formed an alliance to contest the State civic polls against the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP.)
Another major matter of discussion could be the recent decision of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) to sell properties of Tamil Nadu through a public auction.
The TTD which is facing a huge loss due to the nationwide lockdown decided to sell properties in Tamil Nadu donated by devotees.
The nation wide lockdown restricted devotees to visit the shrine of Lord Venkateswara leading to a loss of approximately Rs. 400 crores in the last two months. The lockdown is proposed to end on the 31st of May, but a decision regarding the reopening of the temple is yet to be made.
While YSRCP supported the decision, the BJP and the JanaSena Party protested the decision to sell the properties.
The TTD is soon going to organise a public auction to sell the properties.
