K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana is scheduled to conduct a high level meeting with State ministers and top officers on the 27th of May.
The major discussion of the meeting would be about agriculture during the monsoon season with the newly implemented agriculture policy and the course of action adapted post the lockdown.
The 4th lockdown, which started on the 18th of May nationwide is proposed to end on the 31st of May. While the majority of Telangana is expected to function with normalcy, a few parts of Hyderabad would likely be under restrictions post the lockdown period. The highest number of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 infection has been reported from the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) limit.
However, a few relaxations would be allowed in the area post the lockdown.
In addition, Mr. Rao would review agricultural crops to be cultivated this monsoon, fertilizer and seed availability for the cultivation.
As per the new agriculture policy, farmers in the State would grow crops suggested by the State Government (Telangana Rashtra Samithi) and the TRS Government would ensure a profit to them.
The farmers abiding by the new policy would get all the benefits like Minimum Support Price (MSP,) good quality seed at reasonable rate and Rythu Bandhu scheme, a welfare scheme for the financial support of the farmers in Telangana.
Cabinet ministers, top officials responsible for the spread of the Novel Coronavirus, State Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar and other officers would attend the meeting.
The meeting would be held at 2:00 P.M., on the 27th of May at Pragati Bhavan, Hyderabad, Telangana.
