On the 16th of September, Telangana recorded 2,273 new cases of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 cases.
Of the total 2,273 positive cases,19 were from Adilabad, 56 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 325 from areas under the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and 50 from Jagtial.
The remaining cases were from Jangaon (33,) 21 from Jayashankar Bhupalpally, 21 from Jogulamba Gadwal, 68 from Kamareddy, 122 from Karimnagar, 97 from Khammam, 24 from Komaram Bheem Asifabad, 42 from Mahabubnagar, 57 from Mahabubabad, 38 from Mancherial, 24 from Medak, 164 from Medchal Malkajgiri, 22 from Mulugu, 33 from Nagarkurnool, 175 from Nalgonda, three from Narayanpet, 36 from Nirmal, 91 from Nizamabad, 47 from Peddapalli, 40 from Rajanna Sircilla, 185 from Rangareddy, 58 from Sangareddy, 91 each from Siddipet, 73 from Suryapet, 24 from Vikarabad, 32 from Wanaparthy, 33 from Warangal Rural, 114 from Warangal Urban and 55 positive cases from Yadadri Bhongir.
In addition, death due to the COVID-19 infections in the last 24 hours stood at 12. A total of 2,260 persons were recovered in the past 24 hours.
With these updates, Telangana has 1,62,844 positive cases, 30,401 active cases, 1,31,447 recovered/discharged cases and 996 deceased.
In addition, the recovery rate of 80.71 %, compared to India’s recovery rate at 78.52 %.
Meanwhile, the Telangana Health authority conducted 55,636 COVID-19 tests, taking the total to 22,76,222 test till date, the 16th of September.
Of the total active cases, there are 23,569 patients under home isolation across the State while 6,832 positive cases are in institutional care.
