Telangana: CPI Leaders Protest Against CM KCR Outside GHMC Office, Criticise TRS 

On the 17th of October, the Communist Party of India (CPI) leaders staged a protest against the Telangana Chief Minister, K. Chandrashekar Rao. 

According to sources, CPI leader Azeez Pasha along with other leaders staged a protest outside the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) office. 

The CPI leaders demanded KCR to visit the rain affected areas and flood affected victims. 

Mr. Pasha also demanded the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government to construct a wall on the bank of the Musi river.

In addition, the CPI leaders criticised the State Government for neglecting the situation which caused flood like situation in Hyderabad City due to the heavy rainfall since the past few days. 

Since the 10th of October, Telangana and the areas under the GHMC witnessed heavy rainfall.  Besides this, the State witnessed 324.5 mm rainfall in just one day, which created a history. 

In addition, as many as 53 people died in the State due to several rain related incidents till date. 

The Telangana  Police officials are monitoring the rescue and search operations and are tracing the people who are said to be washed away in the water.

The rescue operations and damage repair works are underway.
