On the 2nd of June, four workers  died and several left injured after an explosion happened at an open cast coal mine at Centenary Colony. 

The open cast coal mine comes under the Singareni Collieries Company Limited (SCCL) coal mines run by the State Government, t.

The state run coal mine witnessed a blast when a few workers employed by private contractors were placing detonators to break big boulders

The peddapalli police who rushed to the spot immediately said,  “Four workers have died and three others seriously injured in the incident.”

The General of the SCCL said Director General of Mines Safety will investigate the incident which resulted in 4 deaths.

The Telangana police registered  a case under the relevant Section of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and launched an investigation for the same.
