Telangana Government Allots Rs. 181.5 Crores For COVID-19 Sanitization

The Telangana Government, on the 2nd of April, released an amount of Rs. 181.5 crores to intensify the preventive measures against the spread of the COVID-19.

The amount was released under the Land Regularisation Scheme (LRS) to sanitize Medchal, Rangareddy, Sangareddy, Medak and Yadadri districts under Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) limits.

The amount was release on the directives of K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana.

Arvind, the Principal Secretary to the Municipal Administration and Urban Development, conducted a meeting with the officials of the above mentioned 5 districts. Mr. Arvind directed the officials to intensify the sanitation measures to disinfect areas including 36 municipalities and 5 districts.

Mr. Arvind also asked the officials to focus on the people who arrived from abroad and check their health conditions.

Telangana reported a total of 127 cases of COVID-19 cases, 104 active cases, 14 recovery and 9 deaths till date.
