Telangana Government Announces Degree Admission Process With Schedule

The Telangana Government, on the 24th of June, announced details schedule of degree college admissions in the State. 

This year, due to the pandemic crisis, the State Education department decided to complete the admission process through online  services under the Degree Online Services, Telangana (DOST.)

According to the released schedule, admission for six universities in the State would begin in July. 

The sessions would begin from the 1st of September.

Registrations for admission would be in phased manner. 

The DOST Phase I would begin from the 1st of July till the 14th of July. 

Students could register on the official DOST website, ‘dost.cgg.gov.in’.

Later, after the registration verification of Special Category certificates will be conducted on July the 13th and 14th of July. Seat allotment results for phase I admission would be released on the 22nd of July. 

The online self-reporting for students who are allotted a seat in phase I will be held from  the 23rd of July to the 27th of July. 

Registration for the 2nd phase would begin from the 23rd of July till the 29th of July.

Web options for phase 2 would be available from the 23rd of July to the 30th of July. Seat results would be announced on the 7th of August and online self-reporting for phase II will be held from the 8th of August 8 to 12th of August. 

Phase 3 registration would be from the 8th of August 8 to 13th of August. 

Results for phase III would be announced on the 19th of August. 

The registered and selected students would be asked to report to the allotted college between the 20th to 24th of August.

The State Government is taking online admission to avoid personal contact and any kind of gathering, which would lead to the spread of the Novel Coronavirus. 

Since the past few days, Telangana is witnessing a spike in the COVID-19 cases, increasing number of cases and threat of community transmission. 

Till the 24th of June, Telangana has a total of 9,553 cases of the Novel Coronavirus with as many as 220 deceased cases.
