The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) took a crucial decision regarding the pending Secondary School of Certificate (SSC) exams in the State.
K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, on the 8th of June, conducted a review meeting and announced to cancel the SSC exams 2020 in the State.
The decision was taken in the wake of the pandemic crisis, the Novel Coronavirus in the State and spread of the virus in the containment zones.
Initially, the Telangana Education department was scheduled to conduct the SSC exams from the 8th of June. However, due to the directions of the Telangana High Court, which asked to postpone exams in containment zones and conduct later, the TRS decided to cancel the exams in entire Telangana.
The students registered for the SSC exams would be promoted and marks would be given based on their internal marks.
There are approximately 5 lakh students registered for the 10th class exams in 2020.
