Telangana Government To Construct Worship Places At New Secretariat, To Lay Foundation Stone On 26th February

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government on the 27th of January, announced to commence the construction of two Mosques and other places of worship within the vicinity of new secretariat buildings. 

The decision to construct worship places was taken after a meeting held on the 27th of January.

The meeting was organised at the BRK Bhavan Secretariat.

Koppula Ishwar, the Telangana Minister of Minority Welfare, chaired the meeting and discussed the construction of a mosque, temple and church in the promises of the new secretariat.

The Telangana Government would lay the foundation stone for the construction of the mosque, temple and a church on the 26th of February.

This decision was taken after a day after the Chief Minister KCR visited and inspected the ongoing work at new Secretariat buildings.

The Telangana ministers said, the cost of construction of temple, mosque and church at the secretariat would be borne by the Telangana Government.

They clarified that the prayer halls along with the secretariat would also be completed in the given time, July 2021.

Representatives of the three religions (Hindu, Muslim and Christian) expressed satisfaction and said they have full confidence in KCR’s commitment

The Minister also appealed the Muslim leaders to submit their Masjid designs proposals if any.

In regard to the construction of the mosque, temple and church, the ministers would conduct another meeting.

The meeting would be held on the 10th and 11th of February.

Members who were present in yesterday’s meeting would also attend the next scheduled meeting.

The Telangana Home Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali, the Telangana Animal Husbandry Minister T. Srinivas Yadav and the Chairman of the Telangana State Wakf Board Mohammed Saleem were present during the meeting.
