Telangana Government To Organise Closing Ceremony Of PV Narsimha Rao’s Birth Centenary Celebration On June 28

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) Government is all set to conduct the closing ceremony of birth centenary celebrations of the late Prime Minister of India P.V. Narsimha Rao. 

On the 24th of June, Keshav Rao, the Member of Parliament (MP) of the TRS, announced the closing ceremony to be held on the 28th of June, at Necklace Road, Hyderabad, Telangana.

The event would be attended by K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, Tamilisai Soundararajan, the Governor of Telangana, the Telangana Chief Secretary of Telangana Somesh Kumar and other TRS ministers.

In regard to this, Somesh Kumar along with Keshav Rao and other concerned officials conducted a meeting on the 24th of June at BRKR Bhavan. During the meeting, the officials reviewed the arrangements for the closing ceremony of the year long celebrations of P.V. Narsimha Rao’s birth anniversary. 

According to sources, on the occasion of the closing ceremony, the Telangana Government would unveil the statue of former prime minister P.V. Narasimha Rao at Necklace Road. In addition, the TRS Government has recently took a decision to rename necklace road as P.V. Narsimha Rao Marg.

On the 28th of June 2020, K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, launched a year long centenary celebration of the late P.V. Narasimha Rao, the former Prime Minister of India.

The launch event was organised to mark the beginning of a year long celebration in Hyderabad, Telangana on the occasion of P.V. Narsimha Rao’s 100th birth anniversary. Mr. Rao inaugurated the event at PV Gnana Bhoomi, Necklace Road,Hyderabad, Telangana. The one year long celebrations were a tribute to the late Narasimha Rao, highlighting his “360 degree personality” during his tenure as the prime minister from 1991 to 1996. P.V. Narasimha Rao was the first non Hindi speaking PM of India and the 8th prime minister. He was from the Telugu state, Andhra Pradesh (United) and a native of Karimnagar.
