Telangana Health Minister To Administer COVID-19 Vaccine To Boost Confidence In People

Etela Rajender, the Telangana Health Minister is likely to take the first dose of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 vaccine.

Mr. Rajender said the decision to take the dose is for inducing confidence amongst the people of Telangana, who would be getting the doses.

During a media briefing, the Telangana Health Minister said, there is no panic of the Novel Coronavirus or COVID-19 and the bird flu problem in Telangana.

Mr. Rajender said, “I will take the first Corona vaccine and then (the) others he said. We are spending Rs. 7,500 crores for (the) health sector and Rs 450 crore development works in Nizams’ Institute of Medical Sciences (NIMS) in Panjagutta here.”

Earlier, the minister inaugurated an Oncology Department in a special building. It was sponsored by Megha Engineering Company that spent Rs 18 crore for 50 beds facility and modern equipment in the NIMS Hospital.

Telangana is in the forefront to develop the health sector.

He said, we are prepared to administer 10 lakhs of the Novel Coronavirus vaccine doses a. For this, all arrangements have been made and the dry run was successful, Rajender said.

The minister expressed hope that the new oncology building facility will give the best services to cancer patients

Meanwhile, a final decision regarding the Novel Coronavirus arrangements and vaccine distribution would be taken during a high level meeting.

K. Chandrashekar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, called a high level meeting on the 11th of January.

All the state collectors and district officials would attend the meeting which would be chaired by KCR.
