K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR,) the Chief Minister of Telangana, will conduct a conference with the district collectors and Cabinet ministers of the State.
The one day conference is scheduled to be held on the 20th of August at Pragati Bhavan, Telangana.
According to sources, the meeting is being organised to discuss the new Revenue Act, introduced by the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) led Government of Telangana.
The Revenue Act was proposed to root out land litigations in Telangana. KCR is going to have a detailed discussion about the new Act, which was formulated to help the farmers and people of Telangana. KCR further said the Act will also help in reducing corruption in the Revenue Department of the State.
KCR proposed the amended Revenue Act and asked the ministers and collectors to scrutinise the Act and give their opinions and suggestions about it. KCR asked for the district collectors’ opinions as they have experience with land management and deal with it regularly.
Apart from the Revenue Act, the meeting will also focus on the 60 day action plan proposed by the KCR led TRS Government. The 60 day action plan will be implemented in villages and towns for the welfare of the citizens of Telangana.
According to sources, due to the discussion about several such issues, the conference could be extended to the next day, the 21st of August.
However, an official announcement about the extension of the conference is yet to be made.
