On the 23rd of October, Saturday, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao, the Working President of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS,) took a dig at Mr. Raja Singh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA.)

Recently on the 16th of October, Mr. Raja Singh posted a video, criticising the TRS Government for not developing Old Hyderabad (Old City.) In his video post on the microblogging site Twitter, Mr. Raja Singh said, “@KTRTRS Ji let’s take a ride on my bullet across #Goshamahal Constituency and old city you will have the 1st hand experience of the development that happened. What say?”

Responding to the post, Mr. K.T.Rama Rao, today, said, “Why don’t you go to the petrol bunk and find out what people are saying about the hike in petrol and diesel prices? Also stop at a household and enquire with them on how LPG cylinder prices are going up.”

Taking a dig at the increasing fuel prices, Mr. K.T. Rama Rao asked the BJP leader to inquire about the public’s response over the fuel prices in India. He also said the TRS Government always worked for the development of the State and the Old City. KTR said that the K. Chandrashekar Rao led Pink Party would always strive for the development of the State and win the hearts of the people with their ideology.

The criticism and war of words on Twitter came at a time when the two political parties are set to compete for the upcoming Huzurabad Assembly by election. It is to be noted, the Huzurabad Assembly by poll is scheduled to be held on the 30th of October and the counting of votes is scheduled on the 2nd of November.

The major parties in the fray for the MLA seat are the TRS, the BJP and the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC.)
